Terra

This candle holder / wall sconce explores the beauty of earth through flowing, wave-like forms and a calming green color palette. The form was developed using Grasshopper, allowing parametric control over the curvature and rhythm of the waves. The organic geometry reflects natural movement while maintaining structural balance. When illuminated, the undulating surfaces create soft shadows that enhance the sculptural quality of the piece.

Inspired by the elemental nature of earth, the candle holder represents comfort, calm, and soul.

In the day, the holder transforms, catching daylight to tint the walls with soft greenish hues, highlighting the shade to a new level.

Through my sketches, I incorporated origami fan like shapes in various lighting forms from table to sconces to ceiling lights.

The lazer-cut file was created through computational, parametric tools on Grasshopper (i.e contour, brep/plane, and boundary surfaces), each peice is intentionally placed to balance structural stability with visual softness, allowing digital geometry to feel warm and tactile.
